Breast screen indicators
Breast screen indicators
There are 11 BreastScreen Queensland services covering the state. While all HHSs receive BreastScreen Queensland Services, only those 11 HHSs that manage and are funded for BreastScreen Queensland Services are listed.
Screening activity exhibits seasonal variation, including peaks and troughs throughout the year corresponding to the use of mobile screening vans within the HHS' catchment area. Therefore, progression to the end-of-year target may not be consistent and identical screening activity in each quarter of the financial year is not expected.
All target and actual (both quarterly and year-to-date) figures have been rounded down to the nearest 10.
Target
This figure is the number of breast screens the HHS aims to provide yearly divided by four. For example, a yearly screening activity target divided by four. For example, a yearly screening target of 12,000 breast screens would equate to 3,000 per quarter.
Actual
This figure is the actual number of breast screens provided by the HHS during the relevant three-month period.
Year to date target
This figure is the yearly target apportioned over the part of the financial year which has passed. For example, if the yearly screening target was 12,000 and it is the end of the third quarter, then the year-to-date target would be 9,000 (3/4 of the full year's target).
Year to date actual
This figure is the number of breast screens delivered by the HHS from the start of the financial year up until the end of the quarter.
% performed year to date
This is the percentage proportion of the year-to-date target achieved by the HHS from the start of the financial year up until the end of the quarter.
