Latest Statewide Information
There are currently 106 reporting hospitals in Queensland. Each year, the hospitals admit almost one million patients and provide more than 1.5 million emergency services and approximately 3.5 million outpatient services
Satellite Hospitals are the latest expansion of healthcare services available across South East Queensland.
Five of seven satellite facilities are open and providing support to their local communities.
- Caboolture Satellite Hospital (First Nations co-name currently being finalised)
- Redlands Satellite Hospital, Talwalpin Milbul
- Ripley Satellite Hospital, Moodoombar Dabbil
- Tugun Satellite Hospital, Banyahrmabah
- Kallangur Satellite Hospital (First Nations co-name currently being finalised)
This new option for care closer to home is having a positive impact on our healthcare system by reducing low acuity emergency department presentations at nearby Caboolture, Redland, Ipswich, The Prince Charles and Robina Hospitals.
Eight Mile Plains and Bribie Island Satellite Hospitals will open in mid-2024.
