The Prince Charles Hospital is a 673-bed, major tertiary level cardiothoracic referral hospital for Queensland, the largest such unit in Australia and one of the largest services of its type in the world. The hospital is also the hub for specialist needs in psychiatry, geriatric medicine, orthopaedics and aged care, together with outreach specialist services throughout Queensland.
