Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (HHS) delivers services to more than 25,000 people. It is the most northerly of Queensland's HHSs and covers over 158,000km2 across 13 local government areas, including facilities on 13 Torres Strait Islands.
Overall Torres and Cape HHS has 31 rural and remote primary health care centres and four hospitals. The TCHHS is one of Australia's largest providers of health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
