The average Daily Resident Care Hours (DRCH)
The average daily resident care hours at a State aged care facility is worked out by dividing the total number of hours of residential care that nurses and support workers provide at the facility on a day by the number of residents at the facility on the day.
% compliance with minimum DRCH of 3.65
The number of days that the DRCH was 3.65 or above, compared to the total number of days in the three-month period.
% compliance with minimum nurse and support worker skill mix ratios
The number of days where there were greater than or equal to 30% registered nurses and equal to or less than 50% support workers providing care, compared to the total numbers of days for the three-month period.
% compliance with the minimum nurse workforce requirements
The number of days where both DRCH and skill-mix were met on the same day compared to the total number of days for that three-month period.
