The Barcaldine Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) is a 12-bed acute care hospital with a six high care residential aged care beds. The hospital provides 24-hour accident and emergency services, and is able to respond to emergencies on the Triple Zero (000) system. It also offers inpatient and outpatient care, pharmacy and X-ray services, with a range of visiting specialist, dental, community, allied and mental health services provided from the hospital.
