The Queensland Children’s Hospital is the major specialist paediatric hospital for Queensland and northern New South Wales, and a centre for teaching and research. The 377-bed facility provides general paediatric health services to children and young people in the greater Brisbane metropolitan area, as well as tertiary-level care for the state’s sickest and most seriously injured children. Paediatric speciality services include burns rehabilitation medicine, cardiology and cardiac surgery, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, gastroenterology, oncology, neurology and haemophilia care.
