The Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) opened on 28 September 2013 and is one of Queensland's largest clinical teaching and research facilities. As a tertiary level health facility the new GCUH offers the local community more beds and a wider range of public health services than ever before. The services include 925 funded hospital beds or bed alternatives.
