Metro North Hospital and Health Service is the largest of 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHS) that provide public health services in Queensland. The Metro North HHS delivers services to a population approaching 900,000, from north of the Brisbane River to north of Kilcoy.
Annually the HHS provides 2.1 million episodes of care across its services, 200,000 admissions to hospitals, 250,000 Emergency Department presentations, more than 36,000 surgical operations and employs more than 16,000 people.
