Commencing from the period beginning April 2025, changes were made to how data is reported to better align with similar data published by the Australian Government on the My Aged Care website.

These changes have also improved the alignment of published data to the specific requirements of the Hospital and Health Boards Regulation 2023 which sets targets for minimum compliance.

To provide an example of the impact of these changes, the previous indicator focused on daily skill mix compliance has been replaced with two new indicators that compare target and actual quarterly averages for daily resident care hours provided by (i) registered nurses and (ii) registered nurses and enrolled nurses.

Despite publication and reporting changes, there have been no changes to the Regulation, nor to how compliance is measured and assessed at the service level.
